I finally did it. I shut my WW subscription off last week. I am officially back on the old, Momentum, plan. I have been having a lot of issues with plateau, losing one week, gaining the next, even on weeks when I know I followed the plan perfectly. I was super frustrated with the whole thing (on a good note, I realized it never once occurred to me to stop trying to lose weight, which is vastly different than what I would have done before all of this.
I had been thinking in the back of mind that possibly the Points Plus plan just wasn't for me. See I think different plans work for different people, and you should try a few to see what works for you. The "old" WW had always, never fail, worked for me. Thankfully I still had all my materials I bought off of eBay years ago, so even though I love the online conveience of the new WW, I shut it off. Last week, the first week back on the old plan, I dropped 2.1 lbs and felt better too. Half way through this week, I al already down another pound. I think the P+ plan was allowing me to eat more than I should, and it wasn't giving me something the old plan did. Now, I am NOT knocking the new plan. It is working great for a lot of people. Like I said, much like strokes for different folks, its plans for different clans... ya dig?
If you are interested in changing plans, check eBay for old member kits. But once again, make sure you really assess what you are doing in your life, what needs to be changed and what food and exercise plan will give that to you. WW works for me, but South Beach or counting calories with LIVESTRONG or Lose It! may work for you. Take your time to get to know yourself and some different plans, it will help immensely in the long run.
In other news I did a 5K Friday night, at 8pm, in the SWELTERING heat of the south and ran 1.5 MILES OF IT BABY!! Well, I jogged, or to other people I was maybe walking at a slighty faster pace than normal.... but to me I was greased lightning!! Super proud moment for me! Also Hayden is leaving for a 6 day camping trip today, so I am going to have a week of crafty goodness. Keep up with me at my other blog to see what I am up to!
