Just a LITTLE Frustrating - Advice?

So as I was writing the last little post, I realized, while looking over my dates to the side, that I hit the -25lbs mark last June, and since then I have been struggling to lose the next 25 for the -50lbs mark, FOR A YEAR. Wow, really?? I can't lose 25lbs in a year? I mean I acknowledge that I have had my off weeks, and that there were some weeks were I gained a little but of weight. Life happens, and sometimes you have to choose to enjoy the moment rather than worry about that extra hot dog. But I can't understand why I am still gaining and losing the same 10 lbs month after month. I don't know if it is the diet plan I am on, although WW seems to give me great loses the majority of the time, the fact that I am doing cardio 100% of the 5 hours a week I work out (which I am adding muscle back in Wednesday and Saturdays starting this week), my age (33) or what. I know there are no thyroid problems. I would really like to move into the next state of my career and life as close to goal as possible, but realizations like today are so discouraging!

Have any of you dealt with this? What did you do to power through a situation like this?

  1. Hello there! I completely know what you mean. I started out at 268lbs. Today I'm at 160. I keep losing down to 155 and then back to 160 up down up down. It's soooo frustrating. I've increased my activity, increased my meal frequency, increased my complex bs and increased my Green Tea intake. Well over the last week anyway.

I'm hoping to see some changes in the next two weeks. Usually you need something to shock your system. Changing your work out will do it to. However I keep telling myself, don't look at the numbers on the scale, look at how your clothes fit, look at how you feel. But still... I'd feel much better if I were down below 155.

Chin up, wishing you the best energies

    Blessed Be

  2. Thanks Sosanna, I have started running again and I am adding strength training back in this week. Hopefully that will give me a little kick in the butt!
